Stock Assignment

I like this stock assignment I’m actually learning from and how you should really do some research before you actually buy stock. Even though it’s not real i still get frustrated that the stocks drop. Then when they drop i don’t want to sell them or anything because i don’t want to lose that little bit of money. Although i have had a promising stock that has gone up a lot since i have “bought” it. Overall the assignment taught me a lot and i liked it.

Overall through the class I learned a lot and liked it more than i thought i would. Even though my grade doesn’t show those things i really have. It was a good time.

i found an article about how microsoft is looking to start building their new operating system.

This article is about how Microsoft is already looking to start hiring people to work on windows 8 that is suspected to come out in 2012. There are several job listings with openings to “work on the new operating system.” The only thing that this article touches on is that it’s going to have a 128bit version. But that was announced a while back that they were going to have that feature. It also says that they think it might be too early to start building it and working on it which I don’t think is true. I don’t think some of these people realize that writing an operating system has millions of lines of code. This takes a lot of time in itself. Then you have to test it. I don’t think this is enough time if they want to release it in 2012.

Thomas Edison State College

I Found this intresting article about how a college is going to total technology.

This article is about how Thomas Edison State College is planning on that all there 17,000 students will have their courses downloaded on to a USB Flash drive and they will be handing and receiving homework online and they won’t have to go to class or lecture to do their courses. This provides all types of problems. They say it will help accelerate learning and let the students to be more individual and allow them to go home and do work when they want with no pressure. But they don’t discuss what happens if they lost their drive and about the security of losing it because all the students school information is on the flash drive so they would have to do some sort of encryption so they are more secure. I just don’t think were ready for this technology.

I didnt know that marketing changed that much in that amount of time. It is crazy to think that their way of marketing is totally different then the way they started marketing. the fact that there is that much to take into affect when you have to plan your marketing plan.

Windows 7

I don’t know if we had to write about something specific or not but i found an article that itrested me so i am going to blog about that information i found.

This article is talking the 64 bit windows 7. This article is asking “Even though you’re running 64 bit are you really running 64 bit?” This is the question because with the new technology coming and going are our computers really good enough to keep up? The article states that even know we have all the up to date equipment that the software and hardware is still lagging behind and trying to catch up. So with our software and hardware can’t handle the 64 bit capability. Even though the applications run and operate you are using the 32 bit. There is only one significantly major difference is that the 64 bit has the capability to handle more RAM. So right now he is saying that we just aren’t there hardware and software wise to be running 64 bit because more than half the time our 64 bit machines are running like a 32 bit machine. I think if you do have the capabilities to run a 64 bit operating system than you should. Because once the software and hardware do catch up then you will be ready to experience the full effect without having to change anything. I am glad I went with the 64 bit because now I will be ready when more things come out for the 64 bit.

Leader follow up

Well I don’t know if you will let me follow up on the leader idea and I forgot to ask so I’m going to do it anyways.

The best leader I had was when I was working for my brother as a painter in Milwaukee. The thing is my brother wasn’t a good leader. The guy we helped out with other jobs was a really good leader. The reason why he was good leader because he started his company all by himself and did all the work all by himself when he started out so he knows what it was like to be doing all the labor work and all the small and easy jobs but they were so labor intensive and he knew that. He would do those jobs with me because he knew that it was a pain in the butt to do those jobs and he would help out even though there were easier and less labor intensive jobs that he could do but I didn’t know how to do because I wasn’t trained in to doing those jobs yet. He also would show me easier ways to do things. He would show me those jobs that I didn’t know how to do when we had time. He did it so I could get a break from the hard stuff and he wanted me to learn more in case some day I wanted to leave I could say I knew how to do those things so if I wanted to get a different job where I was painting. That’s what made him my favorite person to work for.

I really don’t know what kind of business I would have. I just know that i would need a partnership. I don’t think that I have all the tools and skills it take to open my own business. I also don’t know what else I should write.

I read a thing on news week dot com about how he uses twitter to post links to his articles. The whole think was saying that tweeter is just a big joke now. Its full of useless and pointless things. “Twitter has become a playground for imbeciles, skeevy marketers, D-list celebrity half-wits, and pathetic attention seekers: Shaquille O’Neal, Kim Kardashian, Ryan Seacrest.” thats what this guys says. I like this guy he seems to be the only other person with his head on straight about this whole internet and sharing your life with everyone. Well Travis from class agrees too. But i hate how everyone has to share stupid things in there life for no reason and everyone gets sucked into this bs trend and have to do these things because its cool and everyone does it so i have to. Thats why everyone thinks my generatation is stupid and we don’t know what our grandparents had to go through and all that. This kind of use of the internet is BS.

i know that this is a good way to show social networking and keeping in touch, but i’m not a fan of blogging. I thought I would never ever stoop this low to blog. I would rather write a page about the same thing and hand it. This is just a good way to say what you want when you want. But I believe you should do it in person or letter if you can’t do it in person. It is just a lame excuse for people use the internet and do yet another point thing.
